Award: KFA Defender Eko Martins Clinches MVP and Defender of the Season Honours

Kwara Football Defender, Eko Martins was crowned both the Most Valuable Player (MVP) and Defender of the 2024 Kwara Kiddies League Season.

The young defender scooped both awards following impressive display for Golden Red Dragons both in defense and attack.

The Kwara Football Academy (KFA) defender was instrumental in his team’s remarkable success, finishing the league with 12 goals, 20 clean sheets, and an impressive 21 wins from 26 games. Martins’ defensive prowess and offensive contributions played a pivotal role in KFA securing their third consecutive title.

His leadership at the back was unmatched, and his ability to score goals as a defender set him apart. With 20 clean sheets, Martins helped KFA achieve the most shutouts in the league, a testament to his defensive dominance.

KFA’s triumph was not just defined by Martins’ individual brilliance, but also by the team’s collective strength. The academy clinched the title with an 18-point difference, conceding the fewest goals while also scoring the most. Their remarkable run saw them set a new league record for the highest points tally, solidifying their status as the undisputed champions.
