Kwara Kiddies YEG league holds end of season event on Sunday, to honour outstanding players
All is now set for the end of the season matches and award presentation of the Kwara Kiddies YEG League.
The programme is scheduled to hold at the Kwara Football Academy pitch on Sunday, December 3, 2023 beginning from 3pm.
In a statement signed by the Chief Operating Officer of the league, Ibrahim Jato, the end of the season event affords opportunity to celebrate all the kids playing in the league.
“After 21 weeks of action and 126 games, the end of the season programme has become necessary for us to celebrate the kids.
“We have to give it to them and the teams for their steadfastness. This year’s edition will be more memorable and colourful.
He added that the event will include presentation of awards to outstanding players, team of the season and other packages for the teams.
Meanwhile, Kwara Football Academy boys have successfully defended the Kiddies league trophy. Their 1-1 draw with Koller FA boys on matchday 21 sealed it for the boys who would only care to play their last game against Acheivers FA for prestige.
Matches are expected to begin from 3pm. Three matches will go down simultaneously as team battles for the highly staked top three finish.
The Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Sports Commission, Coach Bola Mogaji is expected to lead stakeholders and top dignitaries to the event on Sunday.
With over 500 kids and 12 teams participating across give local governments in Kwara State, the Kwara Kiddies YEG league is reputed to be the biggest kids football league in Nigeria.
