LA Planet Hold Arsenal Kiddies To Goalless Draw On Thursday

Arsenal Kiddies and La Planet battled fiercely to a goalless draw, in a thrilling encounter in the Kwara Kiddies League, leaving spectators on the edge of their seats throughout the match.

The excitement started early with both sides displaying end-to-end attacking football. Despite the competitive nature of the game, the first half ended goalless.  

The thrilling nature continued in the second half with LA Planet presented an opportunity to break the deadlock. In the 39th minute, LA Planet were awarded a penalty but their hopes for a lead was dashed as Kiddies’ goalkeeper, Suleiman Abdulafeez, brilliantly blocked the shot, denying the visitors the opportunity to take the lead.

In the 42nd minute, Arsenal Kiddies’ coach, Korede, was shown a red card for dissent. Despite missing their coach, Arsenal Kiddies displayed resilience in defense, preventing LA Planet from finding the back of the net.

The tension reached a boiling point in the 50th minute when another red card was brandished, this time to Kiddies’ player Jimoh Taiye, following a robust tackle on Lateef Adebayo. Despite being reduced to ten players, Arsenal Kiddies managed to hold their ground, thwarting LA Planet’s attempts to break the deadlock.

Arsenal Kiddies, with 36 points from 16 games, maintained their strong position in the league standings. Meanwhile, LA Planet, with 31 points from 16 games, showcased their resilience despite being unable to secure a victory in this challenging encounter.
